We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to help us bring the second edition of Jali Film Weekender to life!
Dates: 28 October – 1 November 2026
The Volunteer induction will take place on either Thursday 22 or Friday 23 October. You will be able to indicate your availability in the application form.
House & Remuneration:
Shifts will be 4 hours in length. Volunteers will receive a per diem of £5.
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
Interested in Black, African and diaspora cinema
Friendly and good communicators
Have good interpersonal skills
Are supportive of those they work alongside
Festival volunteers will be involved in different parts of the Weekender such as:
Welcoming audiences at our festival desk and answering any questions
Handing out and collecting feedback forms
Supporting venue front of house teams to guide audiences
Helping setup festival spaces, screenings and events
Invigilating the Extended Reality (XR) Exhibition
