Volunteer at Jali Film Weekender 2026

We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to help us bring the second edition of Jali Film Weekender to life!

Dates: 28 October – 1 November 2026

The Volunteer induction will take place on either Thursday 22 or Friday 23 October. You will be able to indicate your availability in the application form.

House & Remuneration:

Shifts will be 4 hours in length. Volunteers will receive a per diem of £5.

We’re looking for volunteers who are:

• Interested in Black, African and diaspora cinema

• Friendly and good communicators

• Have good interpersonal skills

• Are supportive of those they work alongside

Festival volunteers will be involved in different parts of the Weekender such as:

• Welcoming audiences at our festival desk and answering any questions

• Handing out and collecting feedback forms

• Supporting venue front of house teams to guide audiences

• Helping setup festival spaces, screenings and events

• Invigilating the Extended Reality (XR) Exhibition
